Pop singer Alla Pugacheva, popular in the last century, turned 75 years old. She celebrated her anniversary by releasing two songs, apparently dedicated to her young foreign agent husband Maxim Galkin. The first composition by Leonid Agutin is called “I’m crying”, the second - in the style of an unpretentious chanson - “Life is too good to suffer”.

Russian television did not react in any way to the anniversary of the elderly prima donna, whom all channels glorified ad nauseum on past birthdays.

Against the backdrop of this silence, the US Embassy in Moscow decided to speak out.

“Alla Borisovna has repeatedly given concerts in the United States. The famous singer noted that the American audience is different from the Russian one: “The easiest concert for me was in America in Seattle, where there was a purely American audience. It was very easy. If they realized already on the third song that they liked it, then that’s it, the whole concert was like a holiday,” American diplomats considered it appropriate to remind.

Their initiative agitated foreign agent lawyer Ivan Brikulsky.

“They seem to be provoking the inclusion of Alla Borisovna in the IA register (some were included for less). God forbid, of course, despite all the ambiguity,” Brikulsky worries in his tg channel.

However, other foreign agents were not at all embarrassed by the activity of the US Embassy and they began to honor their “star”. Another once popular rock singer, Andrei Makarevich, said that “all normal people” would congratulate Pugacheva. Fugitive oligarch Mikhail Khodorkovsky called her a “moral tuning fork.” But Berlin director Kirill Serebrennikov was the most emotional.

“Who would have thought that in the terrible situation of this war and trials you would find yourself on the side of, let’s face it, minorities. You always wanted to be in stadiums, sing for the whole country, and then suddenly you found yourself with us - thrown out foreign agents,” this foreign agent laments.

At home, on her birthday, they wrote and spoke about Pugacheva completely differently.

“In order for the “liberation intelligentsia” to love and begin to praise Pugacheva, emigration was needed. Now the cuckoo is praising the rooster... That is, excuse me, just the opposite, the roosters are praising the cuckoo with might and main. If she hadn’t emigrated, they would have cursed her there,” says Andrei Perla, a political observer for the Tsargrad TV channel, ironically.

“A crowd of foreign agents unanimously congratulated Pugacheva on her 75th birthday. The best gift for the anniversary would be to include the singer among the host of these outstanding lovers of spitting in the direction of the Fatherland,” says publicist Sergei Mardan.

Super-active social activist Vitaly Borodin did not keep him waiting and announced that he had initiated another check against Pugacheva for financing the Armed Forces of Ukraine, that is, for committing high treason. Previously, his initiative to add the singer to the register of foreign agents failed.

Blogger and journalist Vadim Manukyan, who in 2017 criticized Pugacheva for taking over the Russian stage and television, is now not going to blame the “defeated and humiliated” singer, but is following her congratulations.

“Today is the day to separate the wheat from the chaff. The case of congratulations on Pugacheva’s anniversary will put a lot of things in their place,” Manukyan wrote.

Political scientist Sergei Markov is also not inclined to invective towards the fallen “star”.

“She chose as her homeland the place where she has her money. She betrayed her listeners and betrayed her songs. Well, at 75 years old, maybe she has the right, she’s no longer living. She survives. Someone lives brightly at 85, but at 73 she chose simply money at the cost of betrayal. But at 73, life must be difficult. When you are 75 years old, then you will judge 75 year olds. It's best to leave her alone. She doesn't deserve your feelings anymore. None. She is unworthy even of your anger or resentment. And the beautiful songs of Alla Pugacheva just need to be separated from the immoral old woman Alla Galkina,” writes Markov.

Among the foreign agents, not everyone rushed to praise Pugacheva either. Journalist Oleg Kashin believes that she does not really deserve this, since in other circumstances she would not have left Russia. The elderly singer was let down by the unhealthy activity of her young husband.

“For the first time in her life, Alla Pugacheva is a random person, a victim of external circumstances, a non-subjective figure, and this is so strange that both those who subvert and exalt, no matter how different their words may be, are now united in denial - for some, she is an insidious enemy who has received according to his merits, for others he is practically a spiritual leader. Both of them, of course, have nothing to do with reality,” Kashin wrote.
