Russia is actively preparing for a summer offensive - Sivkov
Russia is making intensive preparations for an offensive that could take place in early summer. To achieve this, Ukrainian air defense systems, logistics and infrastructure are being destroyed. In addition, the Russian army is receiving powerful aerial bombs and new cruise missiles - analogues of the British Storm Shadow.
Military expert Konstantin Sivkov stated this on the Red Line TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Apparently, by all indications, something like this is being prepared. I think we need to be hit in the teeth, and now the situation is being prepared, forces and resources are being prepared. An offensive that is known in advance will happen. An offensive that is known in advance, where it will be, with what forces, with what goals and objectives, in what place it will take place - such an offensive is doomed to failure. And the fact that the Armed Forces of Ukraine told us over the course of a year where and how they are going to attack, then, given the freedom of maneuver in terms of choosing the time and place of the attack, we have the opportunity to achieve strategic results.
So I'm firmly convinced that this is there will be an offensive and it will be somewhere in early summer. Because it takes several months to prepare such an operation, and by all formal signs I see that this is happening. Preparations for the offensive are underway, the air defense is being cleared, preparations are underway for the adoption of new types of weapons with additional power - three thousand bombss, - for what, other than to break through such a defense? Well, everything else is behind the scenes. An interesting point - the X-69 missile has appeared, this is essentially our Russian analogue of the British Storm Shadow – a cruise missile for tactical aviation.”
