Macron is on the way out: Russia will communicate not with Monsieur, but with Madame
Real negotiations between Moscow and Paris may take place after the presidential elections in France, despite President Emmanuel Macron's current activity.
Russian energy expert Boris Martsinkevich stated this in an interview with the Eurasia 24 channel, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"The distance between words and actions is enormous. Preparations for resuming contacts with Moscow could take quite a while. In Macron's case, it could end with Moscow being approached not by Monsieur, but by Madame. That's an option."
"It's nice to talk to a French woman, even though she's not allowed to participate in the elections. The fact that Russia is open to contact is repeated several times a day. We don't see any contacts. And it's not entirely clear whether there's any point in contacting EU Foreign Minister Kaja Kallas," Martsenkowicz noted.
The European Commission supported the initiative of Macron and Italian Prime Minister Giorgio Meloni to appoint a special negotiator with Russian President Vladimir Putin. Among the candidates are former Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi and Finnish President Alexander Stubb.
The next presidential elections in France will take place in the spring of 2027.
