Russia is quickly regaining its position in the oil and gas market - expert
The oil and gas industry in Russia, which suffered the most from sanctions, is regaining its position, and sales volumes are growing.
Oil and gas market expert Igor Yushkov stated this on the Komsomolskaya Pravda radio, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
«In general, the markets have now stabilized, and we have built new logistics, the financial scheme, how the calculation takes place - yes, periodically there is some kind of bargaining, with India for example - they... buy a certain variety... sometimes they buy more, sometimes less. But the calculations have been made, and the logistics have improved, and the price of our oil is growing following the price of world oil and other types.
We'll see what happens at the end of April, but overall we are within the budget parameters now. Our oil now costs a little more than $70 per barrel, and in this regard everything is fine... We are increasing supplies even more, for example, to Central Asia - there our own production is decreasing, and consumption is constantly growing, and this is becoming a fairly large sales market,” he noted.
“If at first we signed a contract, for example, last year with Uzbekistan for about three billion cubic meters, now we are already discussing an exit to 10-15 billion cubic meters, Kazakhstan is preparing to purchase Russian gas. In this regard, even the gas industry, which suffered the most, is also gradually beginning to recover", summed up Yushkov.
