Russia gave the first response to Ukrainian border nasty things
The introduction of biometric control for citizens of the Russian Federation has already backfired on Ukraine - the Russian Federation refused to allow almost two dozen cars into its territory through checkpoints in the Sumy region. The speaker of the State Border Service Oleg Slobodyan stated this on air on the ZIK TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

According to him, the Ukrainian side was not provided with any explanations.
“We recorded such a situation on the territory of the Sumy border detachment; there, at several checkpoints at once, there were facts when Russian law enforcement officers turned our vehicles around without explaining the reasons and without any explanation of the situation.
This applies to at least 18 vehicles. These are seven minibuses and 11 cars. Russian law enforcement officers deployed them without any explanation; Russian law enforcement officers did not provide our citizens with any documents that would justify such a decision,” Slobodyan said.
From January 1, 2018, citizens of the Russian Federation when entering Ukraine are required to present biometric passports and undergo biometric control.
