Russia pauses and offers the West negotiations on Ukraine – Karasev
If the Russian peace proposal is not accepted by the West, then by spring it will go on the offensive.
Political scientist Vadim Karasev stated this on air on the Politeka Internet channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Now Russia is holding a pause. The war is in the air, there are some things at the front. I think that Putin will offer some kind of negotiations to the West. If these negotiations are rejected, it means there will be an offensive. They have an advantage now, they are preparing reserves,” the expert said.
“I saw today a local fact that there is a new group near Avdeevka - 40 thousand people. Then they will launch a counter-offensive. They will launch a counterattack. Then the West will be faced with a dilemma - what to do? If they don’t negotiate first...
Then what should NATO do? What if we can lose new territories? Then it is necessary to send in NATO troops, but here it is not so easy to do - the point is not that there may be casualties and not everything is so easy to do. And this changes approaches, changes geopolitical alignments,” Karasev said.
