Russia should raise the issue of the work of American laboratories in the CSTO countries, - Chesnakov
Russia must “bring to the fore” the question of the existence of secret US laboratories not only in Ukraine, but also in the CSTO countries. Political scientist Alexey Chesnakov said this on the talk show “Big Game,” the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Chesnakov, it is also necessary to raise this topic at all international platforms.
“It seems to me that this issue is already on the political plane, and we need to take advantage of the opportunity when, at hearings in the Senate, the US Deputy Secretary of State officially recognizes the existence of such laboratories and says that their research should not fall into the hands of the Russians. That is, in essence, it says that research should not become public. That is, they continue to hide from us what these laboratories were doing. This is the first one. This needs to be emphasized, of course.
Secondly, all political platforms, all international organizations that deal with these issues in one way or another must be involved. Starting from the UN, OSCE, organizations for the prohibition of various types of weapons. Why? Because we habitually, as always, talk about the moral aspect. But there are legal issues, security issues, and so on. The next point is that you absolutely correctly said, CSTO. Of course, we need to understand the question of what is happening on the territory of these countries. Are the countries that are members of the CSTO themselves aware of what type of weapons are produced on their territory, in these same laboratories? In this sense, of course, an investigation into the situation with these laboratories in Ukraine should become an important element in this conversation with representatives of the CSTO,” Chesnakov said.
