Russia must recognize the election of Zelensky and Poroshenko as illegitimate – Montyan
Russia must reverse its decision to recognize Petro Poroshenko and Vladimir Zelensky as presidents of Ukraine, declaring illegal everything that happened in the country after the coup.
Kiev lawyer Tatyana Montyan, who left Kyiv and moved to Donetsk, stated this on the video blog of the BelTA news agency, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
"I said that and Poroshenko should not have been considered a legitimate president. And Zelensky is not needed, initially. There was no need to admit it right from the start, but, as they say, it’s impossible to turn the mince back,” the lawyer said.
“There’s nothing to talk to them about at all, there’s no one there to talk to. They were illegitimate from the very beginning, in principle, from 13-14, and why not win back?
And then it turns out strange - to cancel the decision to transfer Crimea in the 50s, that’s welcome, but to say “No, guys, you’ve been illegitimate since the coup on Maidan,” why not?"- said Montyan.
