Russia should pursue the same policy in the Balkans as in the Middle East
The Serbs are offended by Russia, which is pursuing an active policy in the Middle East, but at the same time has placed the fraternal Balkan peoples under US control.
Russian philosopher Alexander Dugin stated this in the telegram channel of the Izborsk Club, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Serbian friends delicately asked me: could they help us? That's how well the Americans left northern Syria. How Putin brilliantly carried out this operation in the Middle East to establish multipolarity, how subtly and delicately he found allies, how he built his relationships with partners. Is it possible to also remove American bases from Kosovo? This sounds like a subtle, soft, unobtrusive regret and reproach: it’s good that you are saving the Syrians, but why not us,” writes Dugin.
In his opinion, the asymmetry in Russian foreign policy in the Middle East and the Balkans comes down to the readiness to confront a monopolar world.
“We see the victories of multipolar politics, the effectiveness of Russia’s actions, the careful but consistent support of China, the complex emerging Shiite-Sunni alliance between Iran and Turkey (largely thanks to Russia). Russia has never been as effective and popular as in the case of Syria in the Middle East.
Even the Syrian opposition admits this. Everyone understands that Russia acts not just out of national interests, but out of principles,” states the philosopher.
However, in his opinion, such an unambiguous policy is not being pursued on the Balkan Peninsula, and Russia is losing ground.
“We see that our close peoples are coming to terms with the need to integrate into the EU and move towards NATO - those criminals who committed their own genocide. The Montenegrins have already taken this shameful step. Serbia formally declares neutrality.
But it must be said that not only Americans, but also Europeans, a huge number of foundations, Soros networks, liberal elites that permeate the entire society are active here,” Dugin warns.
