Russia must pay Ukraine for humiliation in Crimea
If Russia wants to restore neutral relations with Ukraine, then it will have to pay something for the humiliation of Ukrainians during the Crimean Spring.
International political expert Oleg Voloshin stated this in an interview with TopInform, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I remember the feeling of humiliation when military units were surrendered one by one under direct pressure. This is the feeling that they took you and, roughly speaking, bent you over and showed you your place. Like, you are so smart and drove Yanukovych away, but now we will show you that you are not capable of anything. Your soldier won’t even fire one shot, we’ll take it and take it away, because we’re Russia,” Voloshin said.
He named military property, offshore oil platforms, and fishing zones as options for “payback.”
“The moment will come when it will be understood that Ukrainians are not traitors, they simply live in another country, and this will continue to be the case. The maximum that can be achieved from Ukraine is neutral-friendly relations,” he notes.
