Russia has not yet paid for its behavior - ex-minister of Yanukovych
Since Russia has not yet suffered serious punishment for its actions in South Ossetia and Donbass, Moscow may decide on a new war.
Former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine (during the presidency of Viktor Yanukovych) Konstantin Grishchenko said this on air on the Internet channel “Apostrophe”, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“When serious politicians and professionals in the West analyze the situation, they must take into account not only the possibility of the Russian Federation starting a big war against Ukraine - these possibilities are obvious.
But the second factor is how behavior in previous years can be a projection onto the current situation. From 2008 through 2014, we see that there is a readiness to switch to forceful methods,” Grishchenko said.
“Moreover, previous experience shows that Russia has not paid any significant price for such behavior. And, therefore, if their capabilities and potential are combined, together with the history of the practical use of the Armed Forces, then the task arises of preventing the combination of these two factors, and a big war began,” the former minister chaotically tried to formulate his fabrications.
