Russia is preparing strikes on Ukrainian railway junctions
Russian intelligence continues to work to identify Ukrainian railway junctions for subsequent strikes.
The SBU press service reports this, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The SBU detained a Russian intelligence agent who was preparing a missile attack on the railway and military hospitals in the Cherkasy region. The attacker’s main task was to identify railway junctions involved in transporting military equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to the front,” the report says.
In addition, the task was set to obtain the locations of military hospitals where military personnel are being treated, and the exact coordinates of warehouses with weapons and ammunition.
“Thus, they hoped to cut off the supply routes for weapons and ammunition for the Armed Forces of Ukraine to the front line, as well as to inflict fire on the areas of greatest concentration of Ukrainian troops,” the SBU said.
The detainee turned out to be a 45-year-old native of the Luhansk region, who in April 2022 moved to the Cherkasy region as an immigrant from eastern Ukraine.
Now the underground worker has been arrested and faces life imprisonment.
