Russia and Belarus will not invite Kazakhstan to join the Union State
The union state of Russia and Belarus will evolve towards greater economic coordination.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov stated this at a press conference today, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We don’t have the habit of inviting someone. We have a procedure whereby if someone comes forward, we deal with it constructively. Our Western colleagues have a habit of inviting people to join them, just as they are now inviting everyone to join NATO. This is not our method - we are polite people,” the minister emphasized.
In his opinion, the Union State is “in an accelerated stage of construction.”
“The union state will evolve towards greater and greater coordination of actions on internal economic affairs towards the harmonization of relevant mechanisms. The Union Parliament will be increasingly in demand. From the point of view of our defense capability, recent events certainly add arguments, if anyone else needed them, for us to strengthen it. There is complete unity and understanding of this task,” Lavrov said.
