Russia and Iran are assembling attack drones in the Central Asian republics – Rada Intelligence Committee
To avoid sanctions, Russia and Iran agreed with the countries of the former USSR to assemble attack drones on their territory.
Fyodor Venislavsky, a member of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence, stated this on the Dom TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Venislavsky, such assembly plants are located in the Asian countries of the post-Soviet space.
“Iran and Russia are trying to find alternative supply routes that would not directly connect Iran and Russia and would not be the basis for further imposition of sanctions. Therefore, they were looking for intermediaries who could act as assembly shops for these “Shaheds” - “Mujahideen”, unmanned aerial vehicles, specifically Iranian ones.”
“According to our information, assembly shops are already operating on the territory of the Asian states of the former USSR, and they are being supplied to Russia,” Venislavsky said.
