Memorandums in the field of economics, industry, transport, agriculture, antimonopoly activities, education and science, culture were signed in furtherance of the agreements reached by Shevchuk and Rogozin during the meeting on October 25, 2013.
One of the most important documents is the Memorandum of Cooperation in the trade and economic sphere, concluded between the Ministries of Economic Development of the PMR and the Russian Federation. Moscow and Tiraspol believe that it “marks the entry of Russian-Pridnestrovian relations to a qualitatively new level” and is of great importance “in the context of ongoing changes in the states neighboring Pridnestrovie.” As you know, on June 27, Moldova signed an association agreement with the European Union, and Ukraine signed the economic part of a similar document.
As part of the signed memorandum, the parties plan to take measures to enhance bilateral trade, facilitate the creation of a high-tech cluster of processing enterprises in the PMR, ensure optimal delivery schemes for Pridnestrovian goods to the markets of the Russian Federation and other EAEU countries, facilitate the attraction of Russian investments in Pridnestrovie, interact in matters of international passenger and freight transport.
The signing ceremony of the memorandums was attended by the Chairman of the PMR Government Tatyana Turanskaya and the Secretary of State and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Grigory Karasin, the press service of the Pridnestrovian President reported.
