Russia and Saudi Arabia launch a joint project
Russia intends to develop petrochemicals together with Saudi Arabia. Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak announced this today at a press conference in Moscow.

“With our colleagues from Saudi Arabia, we consider not only production and geological exploration, but petrochemicals as one of the main areas of cooperation,” Novak said.
According to him, in the future the consumption of oil as a raw material for fuel will fall.
“In the future, when the number of electric vehicles increases and the consumption of petroleum products decreases, according to experts, oil will be reoriented from a source of raw material for fuel to a raw material for petrochemicals. This is today one of the main directions of both discussions and our bilateral relations,” Novak emphasized.
