Russia and Serbia strengthen military cooperation
A meeting was held in Moscow between the Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, Colonel General Alexander Fomin, and the Ambassador of Serbia in Moscow, Miroslav Lazansky.
This was reported by the Politnavigator correspondent on the official website of the Russian defense department.
It is noted that the parties reviewed current issues of bilateral military cooperation and noted mutual interest in the progressive expansion of ties between the ministries of defense of the two countries.
During the negotiations, the Serbian diplomat expressed sincere gratitude to the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, Army General Sergei Shoigu, for the assistance provided by the Russian military department in combating the spread of coronavirus infection, as well as the transfer of T-72 tanks to the Serbian armed forces in November 2020.
In addition, Fomin and Lazansky substantively discussed issues of military cooperation and also outlined ways to intensify them.
The parties also especially emphasized the desire to counter the falsification of history and the inadmissibility of revisions to the results of the Second World War.
