Former Kiev journalist and political scientist Andrey Vajra stated this on the PolitWera channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the expert, in matters of import substitution of Western-made products, the process is also underway, although at a slower pace.
“Yes, there must be some basic production that ensures national security, of course. What, these basic production facilities don’t exist in Russia? There are and they are developing. That is, the issue of national security, the issue of state security, those industries on which the security of the country depends, they are developing. Import substitution - look at the latest figures. With Ukrainian import substitution, another year or two and we will completely close it, it’s already about 70%. With Western import substitution in the defense sector, the military-industrial complex, Russia is already replacing up to 50%. And this process is underway, it has been going on for several years now,” Vajra noted
