Russia has changed its combat tactics and is using assault troops, - Commander of the Ukrainian Ground Forces
With the appointment of Sergei Surovikin as commander of the special operation, the Russian army changed its combat tactics.
The commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Alexander Syrsky, stated this on air on the ICTV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Syrsky, now the Russian Armed Forces have begun to use more assault troops and are putting strong pressure on the eastern front.
“The situation on the eastern front is very tense, the enemy is attacking our units every day. Basically, we see that the tactics have changed with the appointment of Surovikin. There was an increase in air and missile strikes. Well, the enemy switched to the tactics of assault troops,” said Syrsky.
The Ukrainian general also emphasized that the mobilization strengthened the Russian troops, who received the necessary reinforcements:
“Of course, such a number of personnel increased the threat to us. These are not just words - these are new brigades, new battalions that have undergone training, this is the replenishment that the Russian army has been waiting for, because it was actually exhausted. Already those units that came and are coming now, they have a greater and better level of training than those who were sent to the front in the first days.”
