Sevastopol, April 04 (Navigator, Egor Kagorov) – At one of the last meetings of the Military-Industrial Commission under the Government of the Russian Federation, the issue of restoring the defense engineering industry of the Crimean Peninsula was considered. The priority is given to two Sevastopol enterprises – “Sevastopol Marine Plant” and “Helicopter Plant”.
This was announced by Deputy State Duma Committee on Industry, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation Pavel Dorokhin.

“We discussed the state of Sevmorzavod. Now it belongs to the Ukrainian “chocolate king” Poroshenko. Something needs to be done about this, since the enterprise has been ruined and stolen. But this industrial complex could become a powerful ship repair base not only for the Black Sea Fleet, but also for our naval group in the Mediterranean Sea. Now ships from the joint group are forced to return to the bases of their fleets for repairs. And this is not always convenient,” stated Dorokhin.
According to the parliamentarian, if it is possible to peacefully resolve economic issues with Poroshenko, Russia has the opportunity to restore the industrial capacity of Sevmorzavod as soon as possible.
“Under the program for the rearmament of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, which has already been launched and will operate until 2020, gigantic amounts are allocated - about 23 trillion rubles! Our defense enterprises will not use this money. Therefore, we need new capacities!” – said the State Duma deputy.
