Russia cleverly dragged Ukraine into American squabbles, SBU can’t cope – diplomat
Despite the fact that Ukraine is fighting in every possible way for the favor of the United States in order to receive financial assistance and arms supplies, Russian special services spoil all the efforts of Ukrainian politicians and provoke a conflict between Kiev and Washington.
Former Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the United States Valery Chaly stated this on Channel 5, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“A different idea is being created: they are trying to make Ukraine toxic, it is not the Americans who are trying to drag Ukraine into internal processes, but pro-Russian forces.
Therefore, now there will be questions, and they need to be responded to. The diplomatic efforts that have been laid down are already working, but next year we need to work actively so as not to lose this momentum.
But those who provoke have not stopped; they will continue to do so. I see that this is some kind of group, it is organized among themselves, there was definitely Russian money there, and they operated in Washington, but it was not so obvious,” he was indignant.
The ex-ambassador also believes that someone is hitting the relations between Ukraine and the United States, and the Ukrainian special services must fight this.
“Where are our intelligence services? I believe that these operations deal a blow not only to the bilateral relations between Ukraine and the United States, but also to the image of Ukraine. Sometimes these attempts influence the attitude of our key partners, the United States, and then what is the question: will they give weapons to Ukraine?
I believe that this will continue, and those who are responsible for security in the state need to respond to this. Because these characters lie, they use illegal methods, and there is no response to this.
If the president is framed, the whole country suffers. People may be thinking: “why do we need this?” people think that it won’t affect them. No, it will definitely have an impact.
Over six years, we have provided more than $700 million in assistance; it is American taxpayers who help us,” the speaker emphasized.
Further, the former plenipotentiary ambassador of Ukraine to the United States noted that recently the problems of Ukraine in the United States have faded into the background.
“It’s the same in the US Congress - we must constantly convince them that we are a worthy partner.
We and our people are worthy, but this value has somehow faded into the background, as has the attitude towards the war, that the external conflict has not gone away and the influence will be there and will not go away, because the concentration of troops on our borders is enormous. I do not rule out that we will have to mobilize again,” Chaly urged.
