Russia may launch a missile attack on NATO bases in Ukraine
Ukrainians should know that NATO bases, which are located near their homes, could, in the event of escalation, become targets for a Russian retaliatory strike.
Political scientist Alexey Martynov stated this on the Rossiya 1 TV channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Gordey, for example, has a house, almost on the seashore in the Nikolaev region (former vice-mayor of the city of Ochakov, Nikolaev region of Ukraine Gordey Belov - ed.) Literally a few tens of kilometers from this house, there is the so-called NATO Training Coordination Center, although in fact, this Center will turn into a full-size base.
Under certain conditions, this training center will be one of the legitimate targets of a retaliatory strike based on military doctrine. This house and many houses around are included in this story, they will simply burn down, there will be nothing there, scorched earth. This is not because we are so aggressive, but because this is how everything works,” said Martynov.
Let us recall that earlier in Kyiv they said that Ukraine cannot become a NATO member in the near future, but Kyiv should be allowed alliance to deploy its troops on Ukrainian territory.
Moscow also noted that the North Atlantic Alliance has actually begun preparation for military operations against Russia.
