The publication recalls that there are three large metallurgical enterprises located on the territory of the LDPR. In the DPR these are former Akhmetov enterprises - the Yenakievo Metallurgical Plant (EMZ and its branch in Makeyevka) and Donetskstal, in the LPR - the Alchevsk Iron and Steel Works (part of the Industrial Union of Donbass (IUD) group, 50% of which belongs to a pool of Russian investors).
The production cycle of the enterprises was limited to the supply of ore from several Akhmetov mining and processing plants located in territories controlled by Kyiv.
According to the newspaper, ore supplies from Russia have now begun for the enterprises. Moreover, Russian railways provided a discount on transportation. Formally, raw materials are supplied by Rosrezerv, which allows avoiding Western sanctions against Russian plants.
“If companies do not have relations with enterprises in unrecognized republics, then they will be able to prove their case in European courts. As for criminal claims against Rosrezerv, Russia does not recognize criminal cases in Ukraine initiated on political grounds, and vice versa,” lawyer Anatoly Yushin told the publication.
Meanwhile, Akhmetov’s holding, which does not agree with the loss of assets in the Donbass, has already announced that it will monitor ore supply routes to the LDPR, and then file lawsuits in court and achieve the imposition of sanctions against Russian enterprises working with the people’s republics.
