Russia will begin sending holidaymakers to Crimea in May
Simferopol, March 15 (Navigator, Astra Yazyka) – Crimea will not compete for Russian holidaymakers with Egypt and Turkey. Unlike other beach holiday destinations for Russians, Crimea has an undeniable advantage - a comfortable moral environment.
As a Navigator correspondent reports, Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism of the Russian Federation Alla Manilova stated this at the tourism forum in Simferopol.
According to her, Russian tourists annually spend about 40 billion euros on holidays abroad.

“Our tourist, who spends the most money in Europe on vacation, does not want to find himself in an uncomfortable moral environment for his hard-earned money,” Manilova noted.
She added that goodwill towards Russian tourists abroad begins with the menu in Russian, and ends with the fact that “they won’t give you a bad look in the back.” In this regard, the resorts of Crimea are much more preferable for Russian tourists than the countries of Europe or Middle Asia.
“Where else are Russian tourists more welcome than in Crimea,” the Deputy Minister of the Russian Federation emphasized.
According to her, Crimea needs to modernize its accommodation bases and take the quality of services to a new level, but in general, the recreational system built in Soviet times is paying off.
“We have less than 1 cm of beach per resident, although no one has calculated this,” Manilova noted. “Therefore, Russia and Crimea have common interests – in Russia there is demand, in Crimea there is supply.”
At a press conference at the end of the forum, the Deputy Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation clarified that, first of all, we are talking about creating a special program for Russian schoolchildren, who during the summer holidays will be able not only to relax at sea, but also to visit excursion sites related to the history of Russia.
“We will forgive additional funds for the fifth route of our program for schoolchildren, which will be developed directly in Crimea from objects of history and architecture,” Manilova clarified. – and we expect to launch it as early as the May holidays.”
As part of the tourism forum, cooperation agreements were concluded between representatives of the Crimean tourism industry and relevant departments of 15 regions of Russia. Specific agreements on the sale of summer holidays 2014 will be additions to the contracts.
