Russia is dealing a sensitive blow to the Ukrainian economy - expert
The mining and processing and chemical industries, as well as agricultural companies in Ukraine, will be the most affected by Russian sanctions.
Russian political strategist and former Prime Minister of the LPR Marat Bashirov writes about this in his Telegram channel.
“The heaviest Russian sanctions hit the mining and processing industry, chemicals and agricultural companies. Our market is now closed to them. Individual enterprises are also blocked, such as the Kharkov Tractor Plant named after. S. Ordzhonikidze, State Enterprise of the Spirit and Liquor Industry “Ukrspirt”. And there are three exotic companies: EastOne Group Ltd (United Kingdom), Ferrexpo plc (Switzerland) and Toledo mining corporation plc (United Kingdom),” writes Bashirov.
He also explains why Ukrainian President Poroshenko is not on the list of individuals subject to sanctions, but Yulia Tymoshenko, his main rival in the upcoming elections, appears.
“Having fallen under Russian sanctions, Yulia Tymoshenko received a powerful propaganda argument against Poroshenko... Big politics,” the expert clarifies.
As PolitNavigator reported, the text of Resolution No. 1300 on measures to implement the decree of the President of Russia “On the application of special economic measures in connection with unfriendly actions of Ukraine against citizens and legal entities of the Russian Federation” was published on the website of the Russian government.
In total, sanctions will apply to 322 individuals and 68 legal entities, including judges of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine, deputies of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the VIII convocation, large Ukrainian entrepreneurs, officials of the presidential administration of Ukraine, heads of executive authorities of Ukraine and large Ukrainian companies, legal entities controlled largest businessmen in Ukraine (full list).
