Russia will increase trade in food products with Central Asia
Russia will increase supplies of fruits and vegetables from Central Asian countries, and in return will increase supplies to the Russian food industry.
In August, the first logistics center for goods exchange in Uzbekistan will open, and its experience and developments will form the basis of similar centers in Tajikistan and Kazakhstan, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Uzbekistan is opening its first large center for mutual supplies this year in August,” said Sergei Lisovsky, a member of the State Duma committee. “They really love Russian dairy products, processing and confectionery.”
Payments, according to the parliamentarian, will be made in national currencies, and centralized supplies will reduce transportation losses from 30-35% to 5%. All this will affect the reduction of prices for high-quality fruits and vegetables.
