Russia will not beg Trump to lift sanctions
Russia should play on the character traits of the new US president and demonstrate Trumpmania, similar to Gorbymania in the US in the 80s of the last century. Political scientist Sergei Markov stated this at a press conference in Moscow.

“Trump, as we know, is a narcissistic type of person who is now simply met with waves of hatred from the American and European press. It’s time for us to send him a wave of love in return,” Markov said.
At the same time, he is against Russia initiating negotiations with Trump on the lifting of sanctions.
“We lived with these sanctions under Hitler, and under Napoleon, and under Charles 12. And we will live under all of them. Sanctions do not apply to us. It’s another matter if they remove them themselves, we will welcome it. We should not bargain with Trump, but do great things together,” Markov said.
