Russia does not allow NATO ships to launch in the Black Sea
The Russian fleet controls the activities of NATO forces participating at the invitation of Ukraine in the Sea Breeze 2019 naval exercise in the northwestern part of the Black Sea.
The press service of the Black Sea Fleet published a video showing an overflight of the US Navy destroyer Carney taking part in the Sea Breeze 2019 exercise.
As is known, the organizers of the American-Ukrainian exercises previously had to change the scenario, since Russia announced that it would conduct its maneuvers at the same time in the waters adjacent to Crimea.
There are currently about 10 ships of the Russian fleet at sea. In particular, the large landing ships “Azov” and “Tsezar Kunikov”, small missile ships “Orekhovo-Zuevo” and “Mirage”, missile boats “Ivanovets”, “Naberezhnye Chelny” and others.
At the moment, the crews of the ships continue to practice elements of joint navigation and combat maneuvering at sea training grounds, and also carry out formation changes in complex formations and joint orders.
In addition, during the exercise, ship crews interact with aviation in the system of reconnaissance and strike complexes in the defense of important coastal infrastructure facilities of the Crimean Peninsula, as well as countering naval groups of a mock enemy in the sea zone.
At the final stage of the exercise at the combat training grounds of the Black Sea Fleet, the ships will conduct missile and artillery firing at sea and air targets from anti-aircraft missile and artillery systems.
The day before, in Crimea, combat crews of the S-400 Triumph anti-aircraft missile systems and Pantsir anti-aircraft missile and gun systems from the Air Force and Air Defense Army of the Southern Military District conducted an exercise to search for and destroy air targets.
