Russia should not succumb to Poroshenko’s provocations – political scientist
Poroshenko’s decree on complicating the rules for crossing the border with Ukraine for Russians aims to finally quarrel between the two peoples. Political scientist Denis Denisov told PolitNavigator about this.

“This initiative is part of a general strategy aimed at breaking away from the people of Russia. This is another tactical step that should prevent people from visiting each other, seeing each other, and communicating. If necessary, such obstacles will be overcome, but at the everyday level this is a very bad step on the part of the Ukrainian leadership,” Denisov said.
He believes that Russia should not succumb to provocation and respond to this unfriendly step by Ukraine.
“I am against both the mirror response from the Russian Federation and the introduction of visas for Ukrainian citizens. There are 2,5-3 million people living in Russia on a permanent basis. The Russian economy is very interested in them. The overwhelming majority of them are very close to Russians in spirit, culture, and civilizational identity,” the political scientist emphasized.
