“Russia is not retreating” - Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine
Russia does not abandon its plans to capture the entire Ukraine, and therefore the visible withdrawal of troops is just a regrouping.
Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Anna Malyar stated this on Channel 5, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Today the entire East of Ukraine is in danger because it is the next target. But Russia does not finally abandon its plans to seize the entire territory of Ukraine, and many facts testify to such plans.
For example, Russia, those troop units that it withdraws from Ukraine, actually later strengthens them, replenishes personnel, restores lost equipment and accumulates them along the state border. Obviously, planning to use it,” Malyar predicted.
In addition, the story notes that, according to the deputy minister, Ukraine still has an urgent need for anti-missile and heavy weapons, since, as she put it, not only the Russians, but also the Ukrainian army are losing their weapons. At the moment, Kyiv is conducting heated negotiations on their supplies with the West, “because we cannot stop the enemy with sanctions now.”
