Russian President Vladimir Putin announced this to reporters in Beijing today.
“There was no significant damage to our institutions: neither for banking, nor for the healthcare system, nor for others. But overall this is alarming, there is nothing good here, this is cause for concern,” Putin said.
He expressed surprise that in conditions when the heaviest blow was directed at Russia, someone was still trying to say that it was behind the attacks.
“As for the source of these threats, in my opinion, Microsoft management directly stated this, saying that the primary source of this virus is the US intelligence services. Russia has absolutely nothing to do with this. It's strange for me to hear anything different. By the way, this best reflects the reality when they always look for the guilty where there are none,” Putin said.
