Russia could not resolve the issue with Donbass - political scientist
Russia had to show strength and include not only Crimea, but also Donetsk and Lugansk, and due to the fact that this issue has not been resolved until now, the Russian Federation is suffering ever-increasing sanctions.
As a PolitNavigator correspondent reports, political scientist Pavel Feldman said this on the Red Line TV channel.
“The Donetsk story is a demonstration of weakness. By the way, it is for this demonstrative weakness that Russia is now being punished for these sanctions. Most of the sanctions, most of the aggressive, unfriendly attacks concern the Donbass and Lugansk region, and not so much Crimea. Because the door slammed in Crimea, we showed that this issue was clearly resolved for us. But Donetsk and Lugansk today are supposedly a topic for discussion about the Minsk agreements, which are not being implemented and for which sanctions are now being imposed. This issue had to be resolved in the same way as the Crimea issue, or not started at all,” Feldman said.
