Galician Anna Gopko, the former head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Foreign Affairs, stated this on air on the Obshchestvennoye.Krym TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The Russian armed invasion may even last for more than one generation. Because this is an existential war. For Russia, for the restoration of the “Russian World” and the empire, Ukraine is a key country.
That is, Moldova, Georgia, the Middle East are not so important to Putin - Ukraine is important to their Soviet Union. And therefore, there will be a struggle either until the destruction of Ukraine, or until we return to Russia’s sphere of influence.
How we will return - in parts, it is not known how, it does not matter. But the Russians, in order to regain control over Ukraine, will give the last thing - they will go to Venezuela, the Middle East, and somewhere else, so that later they will be able to bargain and exchange geopolitical influence.
They will wait for the change of presidents in the USA, France, Germany, they will corrode the unity of the EU and NATO with corruption schemes, and wait in the wings,” Gopko shared her revelations.
