Russia does not defend its interests in the “grain deal” - Kedmi
Russia is the least likely of all other participants to defend its interests in the so-called “grain deal,” which allows Ukrainian ships to sail freely from the port of Odessa.
The former head of the Nativ intelligence service, military expert Yakov Kedmi, stated this in an interview with Israeli journalist Alexander Waldman, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Kedmi, Russia is the only signatory who has not received any results from the functioning of the grain corridor.
“Each country protects its interests. The question is: will Russia defend its interests in this conflict? Türkiye is getting its way, Ukraine is getting its way, the Americans are getting their way. There are no questions regarding them, they act in their own interests, achieving them by hook or by crook. The question is: will Russia defend its interests or will it limit itself only to stating the fact that it has once again been deceived?..
Turkey has a lot of interests with Russia. How Russia will play its game against Turkey, with the cards it has with Turkey, I don’t know. But in this whole conflict, the Russian state is the least likely to defend its interests regarding the grain deal. Judging by the results, who got nothing from this deal is Russia. Everyone else got what they wanted,” Kedmi said.
