Security officers of the Zaporozhye region expelled the general director of the Zaporozhye NPP (now former) Murashov Igor Valerievich to the territory controlled by Kyiv. The day before, the ex-director was detained and confessed.

Murashov’s detention was the result of a long history of sabotage that occurred at the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant from the very beginning of the establishment of Russian control over the station and its satellite city Energodar in March 2022.

Zaporozhye NPP is the largest in Europe. And naturally, this object is the focus of attention not only of the Kyiv authorities, but also of international structures, primarily the IAEA. That is why the Russian authorities were required to take a special approach to both the city and the station.

The configuration of power lines in the area of the nuclear power plant is such that if the plant continues to operate, the bulk of the energy continues to flow to the territory controlled by the Kyiv regime. Therefore, it is impossible to simply transfer the supply of electricity to the Russian consumer and cut it off from the Ukrainian one without reconfiguring power lines and building new ones.

Russian troops occupied the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant quite quickly and competently. At the same time, Russia did not disrupt its performance. Understanding the importance of the facility, the Russian authorities treated the employees and residents of Energodar with the utmost loyalty. The Kiev regime refuses to recognize the reassignment of the nuclear power plant to Russia.

Until recently, receiving electricity from Zaporozhye NPP (today the station has stopped producing it), Kyiv paid salaries to its employees, charging it to Ukrainian cards. Moreover, funds from these cards can be cashed out directly on the spot, in Energodar. To avoid social tension, the Russian government allowed the opening of conversion centers through which people can cash out Ukrainian cards.

It is obvious that the preserved contacts of NPP employees with Ukrainian structures (both specialized and special services) and the possibility of financial motivation of NPP employees on the part of the Ukrainian special services allowed the pro-Ukrainian underground to operate among the NPP staff.

Even when Russian units were entering Energodar, the station management and pro-Ukrainian deputies made an attempt to stop the Russian column in the “Maidan” spirit - by herding employees to a mass rally at the entrance to the city. In fact, the NPP employees in such conditions were hostages of the Kyiv regime and the leadership appointed by it - Murashov personally.

He had already fired those employees of the station and its subordinate enterprises who expressed pro-Russian sympathies and participated in pro-Russian actions such as the “Immortal Regiment” on May 9. They also threaten those employees who plan to obtain Russian citizenship, and there are many such employees.

In fact, under the leadership of Murashov, a pro-Ukrainian underground was constantly working inside the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant. And the pro-Ukrainian underground is not only people who sing Ukrainian songs and secretly keep Ukrainian flags in anticipation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The Ukrainian underground is people who actively contribute to the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Ukrainian special services, and sabotage any processes taking place in the liberated territories. They can give coordinates of objects to be fired upon by Haymars, and report on the movement of Russian troops.

If these are employees of the power plant, as in our case, they instantly transmit to the Ukrainian side any information about what is happening at the station. Ukrainian special services knew about the deployment at the station of employees of both Russian nuclear structures and representatives of the radio-chemical-biological defense troops, who are there to monitor the safety of the facility.

Moreover, Murashov actually adjusted the fire of the Ukrainian formations at the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant itself. That is, he reported the coordinates of arrivals. In agreement with the Ukrainian special services, Murashov, while he himself was safe (where the Ukrainians did not shoot), endangered everyone else in order to destabilize the work of the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant and help Ukrainian propaganda blame Russian troops for the shelling.

That is why Murashov was detained. And he gave a confession - a fragment of it was shown on Russian television channels. Given that Russia considers all residents of the liberated territories, including Murashov, its citizens, it is clear that his detention will cause an international outcry. Therefore, after he confessed, Murashov was not imprisoned, but simply expelled to territory controlled by the Kyiv regime.
