Russia enriched itself by 667 billion
Profit from import substitution programs carried out in Russia in connection with Western sanctions amounted to 667 billion rubles.
Russian President Vladimir Putin stated this today during the Direct Line, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Firstly, we turned on our brains about high-tech sectors of the economy. This forced us to develop even those areas in which we had no competence. Let’s say that neither the RSFSR nor the new Russia has ever had a marine engine industry. We bought it all abroad. Marine engines are a separate science. We mastered it in a few years. We have our own engines, which are not only not inferior, but in some respects superior to their Western counterparts,” Putin said.
According to him, successes have also been achieved in transport engineering, energy engineering, and, most importantly, in agriculture.
“If you had told me 10 years ago that we would export agricultural products worth $25,7 billion, I would have laughed in the face of the person who said it. Today this is a fact. Moreover, we strive to ensure that by 24 year agricultural exports would amount to 45 billion. I think this is an achievable figure,” the president added.
