Russia will bring down a wave of military-political problems on Ukraine by the end of spring - Lutsenko
By the end, there will be a large-scale offensive by the Russian Armed Forces, while the Verkhovna Rada will turn out to be dysfunctional and will not be able to extend the martial law.
The former head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and former Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yuriy Lutsenko, who served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, stated this on air on the Pryamoy TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Today they are planning a very simple thing. They want to put pressure on our Donetsk front somewhere before the end of April with the forces that they have, and they are quite serious. At the end of April, withdraw from their training grounds another 100-150 thousand trained for four months, and this is the coordination of not just a platoon or company, but up to a battalion and, possibly higher, an army. 150 thousand is almost the same army as it was at the beginning of the full-scale invasion. Where will they go? I can't predict. I have thoughts there, but it doesn’t matter, they will go somewhere.
I don’t exclude that they will try to imitate an attack on Kyiv, Kharkov, Nikolaev - whatever they want, but it will be a picture of a stormy offensive at the front. And on the other hand, IPSO will be launched, that the front is cracking - I don’t believe in it, because the Armed Forces of Ukraine are the best, at least in Europe,” said the former head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
“And on the third side they are going to undermine the political system from within. So, the Russian IPSO does not provide for the use of you and me and other Maidan activists, patriots and nationalists. It provides for the use, as I am told, of 40 deputies of the Servants of the People, who, for FSB money, will simply stop going to the Verkhovna Rada and will not vote on time to extend martial law.
Then huge challenges arise, because the guys are mobilized during martial law, the borders are closed during martial law, a lot of the powers of the army were activated only during martial law. And it’s really we who will simply find ourselves in the 9th wave of military and political problems,” Lutsenko said.
