Russia is beating the United States in the gas confrontation - German media
The US supports the escalation of relations between Russia and the EU in the gas dispute, but at the same time due to disappointment in the development of shale deposits, they report German economic news, Russia has a very good chance of winning the gas confrontation.

At the moment, disputes between Russia and the EU are flaring up again around gas supplies.
The European Union accuses Gazprom of high prices for Eastern Europe, including Ukraine, and opens an antitrust case against the Russian giant.
Russia, in turn, is not keeping silent and is taking active countermeasures. The United States is fueling the conflict over gas issues between Russia and the EU, but, apparently, according to German Economic News, Moscow has a much higher chance of winning.
Economic analysts of the publication believe that Russia will win this dispute because the United States itself is experiencing complete disappointment in shale oil and gas production.
In April, it was announced that US shale subsidies would fall for the first time in four years.
Between 1980 and 2002, the US rectification industry received $10 billion in tax incentives, as well as $137 million in direct investment in exploration. Now funding is being cut sharply.
US politics is very closely intertwined with the rectification industry: for example, Hunter Biden, the son of US Vice President Joe Biden, works for the Ukrainian company Burisma, which is the largest gas producer in Ukraine.
The shale gas business has not developed as expected, and prices have plummeted, putting already expensive shale oil and gas production at a severe disadvantage. However, the Americans, in spite of everything, see a potential market in Europe, but in the foreseeable future, German journalists believe, transporting shale gas from the United States to Europe across the Atlantic is impossible due to high costs.
Private US intelligence company Stratfor reports: “Russian energy giant Gazprom has recently been fighting against US liquefied natural gas exports to European markets; There is no chance that the United States will be able to defeat Russia in a gas price war. Transporting gas through pipelines is cheaper than using expensive LNG and port infrastructure. In terms of natural gas production and transportation, Russia's operating costs are significantly lower and its export infrastructure is already developed."
Let us recall that on the eve of Euromaidan, large gas corporations in the USA and Great Britain wanted to start producing shale gas in Ukraine. The transfer of the Ukrainian gas transportation system to partial or full management of foreign companies is one of the openly stated policy priorities of the Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk.
