Russia came within a hair's breadth of a direct military clash with the United States
The armed conflict between Russia and the United States was real last year in Syria. Retired Lieutenant General of the Foreign Intelligence Service, political scientist Leonid Reshetnikov stated this in an interview with military correspondent Gennady Dubovoy.

“Russia is now going through a difficult time of a powerful attack by globalist forces. In October in Syria, we were on the verge of an armed conflict with the United States. Will Russia survive? The globalists can deal a severe financial blow. All these years, Putin has been moving millimeter by millimeter towards the goal of restoring real independence of Russia,” Reshetnikov said.
From this position, he doubts that the Russian leadership will decide to annex the Donbass republics.
“The most attractive option is a referendum and joining Russia. Just like Transnistria, South Ossetia, Abkhazia. But we do not know all the information that our leadership has. This decision may not necessarily need to be made now. The fact that Crimea was annexed is the merit of the people and the president, but without the will of God this could not have happened. As a believer, I consider this a miracle,” Reshetnikov said.
