The President of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambayev stated this today at a joint press conference with the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.
“Many peoples, even if they have forgotten it, come from Altai. Including the Kyrgyz. For us, Russia is our ancestral home. Therefore, I am convinced that we are connected not only by ancient history, but also by a common future. I cannot imagine the future of Kyrgyzstan without Russia. All parliamentary factions are committed to cooperation with our brotherly Russia,” Atambayev said.
He said that he plans to visit several Russian regions.
“I am glad that I will be able to visit Bashkiria and Tatarstan. As you know, my wife is an ethnic Russian, she is even more happy. Our delegation includes deputies who are ethnic Russians. We managed to preserve multilingualism in Kyrgyzstan,” Atambaev said.
