Russia “blinded” a US aerial spy on approach to the Crimean Bridge
Russian electronic warfare systems suppressed the navigation of the American military spy plane Boeing RC-135W Rivet Joint, which approached the shores of Crimea in the Kerch Strait area.
Write about it Internet resources specializing in aviation topics, however, no official information has yet been received from the law enforcement agencies, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to services that monitor aviation activity, communication with the American aerial spy was lost while approaching the Kerch Strait. The signal resumed much later.
Officially, the parties did not comment on the incident in any way - the use of electronic warfare, if there was no real violation of the air border, is tantamount to the use of weapons.
Theoretically, the American plane could really be “blinded,” Honored Pilot of the Russian Federation Yuri Sytnik told PolitNavigator. According to him, the Americans are deliberately provoking the Russian Federation - they are trying to find out which electronic warfare systems are in service and recognize the principle of their operation.
“The fact that our electronic warfare suppressed it - no one still knows whether it is Krasukha or some new type of electronic warfare. But the navigation of aircraft, both reconnaissance aircraft and others, is disrupted, they lose their spatial position, the operation of electronic systems - guidance, tracking - is disrupted, they disappear from the screens of American locators - a lot of interesting things are happening.
Now they are so interested in this that they will constantly try to figure out what it is. But ours don’t allow it, of course. These games will be permanent, because the Black Sea region is a tasty morsel for Turkey, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Romania and all of Europe...
But today we are such a serious state, our army has risen so much that even spiteful critics who see only blackness in everything are forced to admit that Russia has created new types of weapons, its army has rearmed by 65-75%, we have a contract army, good trained personnel,” says Sytnik, representing the “Officers of Russia” organization.
