Russia sent a warning to American ships in the Mediterranean
Patrolling of Russian aircraft equipped with supersonic Kinzhal missiles over the Black Sea

“If such weapons are put on duty, it means they completely cover our southern borders. The range of missiles such as the Kinzhal confidently covers, provided they are launched from our MiG-31s, which will be located in waters somewhat west of the Crimea, the entire Eastern part of the Mediterranean Sea. In the south, everything south of Greece, in the north is Poland and East Germany,” military pilot, reserve major Vitaly Sokolovsky told Komsomolskaya Pravda.
He says that the suspensions on Russian aircraft are universal and are designed for almost any missile.
“Already when developing new aircraft, the possibility of mounting new missiles for them is taken into account. And if suddenly someone dares to strike at us, there will be an immediate retaliatory strike,” warns Sokolovsky.
And military analyst, retired captain of the first rank Vasily Dandykin believes that the setting of tasks for the MiG-31 with new weapons arose after the sinking of an American drone over the Black Sea.
“We must understand that there is work for the aerospace forces and air defense in Crimea. But we must also understand that there are long-range tasks in the region. And, by the way, flying even over the Black Sea is very difficult. You need certain skills,” the expert notes.
He was asked how many pilots could perform this type of task.
“Those aircraft that will come on such duty and will be able to do this on a permanent basis - they can be located not only at Crimean airfields. And, by the way, the speeds of their planes are not so important. The main thing is the experience of the crews working over the seas,” the analyst answered.
According to him, both American fleet ships in the Mediterranean and those who send reconnaissance drones to the Black Sea should be wary.
“And also to those who launch American and British missiles from Southern Ukraine - these statements can be made to them. And our rocket reaches not only Kyiv, but also further. And this is a serious warning,” says Dandykin.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced patrols of aircraft with “Daggers” over the Black Sea.
“On my instructions, the Russian Military Space Forces begin patrolling on a permanent basis in the neutral zone of airspace over the Black Sea. And our MiG-31 aircraft are armed with Kinzhal complexes,” Putin said at a press conference following his visit to China.
