“Not a single representative of any country participating in the OSCE PA voted against it. Against the backdrop of the adoption of our resolution and the creation of the corresponding special committee on our initiative, Ukraine fades into the background with its unconstructive agenda and outdated cliches.
The resolution calls on the media to voluntarily refuse to provide information platforms to terrorists and their sponsors, as well as to escalate tension in the information space. We all remember how, during the war in Chechnya, certain European channels gladly interviewed Chechen militants, and now they broadcast videos of the crimes of ISIS terrorists, essentially providing them with an information platform. This shouldn't happen.
The text of the resolution also notes the importance of preventing cross-border movement of persons, weapons and funds associated with terrorist activities. The day before, the leaders of the G20 countries adopted a similar statement,” Tolstoy explained.
