Russia transfers three newest warships and two submarines to the Black Sea

Sevastopol, March 03 (PolitNavigator, Mikhail Ryabov) – This year, the Black Sea Fleet is expected to receive at least one new patrol ship of Project 1135.6 “Admiral Grigorovich”, on which the full-time crew is already being trained. The second ship of this project, Admiral Essen, is in a high degree of readiness at the Yantar Baltic shipyard in Kaliningrad. In total, 6 ships of this class will be built for the Black Sea Fleet in the near future.

In addition, the fleet should be replenished with two small missile ships, Zeleny Dol and Serpukhov, the construction of which is being completed in Tatarstan at the Zelenodolsk shipyard named after. A.M. Gorky.

The Black Sea Fleet also plans to accept two new diesel-electric submarines of Project 636.3, Novorossiysk and Rostov-on-Don, which are the first in a series of six submarines designed to solve problems in the Black Sea.

In addition, in 2015, the Black Sea residents will begin mastering the modern rescue tugboat Project 22870 “Professor Nikolai Muru,” which has already completed state tests.

“Over the past year and a half, in accordance with the rearmament program, the Black Sea Fleet has been replenished with more than ten boats and auxiliary vessels for various purposes. Among them are the latest anti-sabotage boats "Grachonok", high-speed patrol boats "Raptor", diving boats of various projects and sea tugs.
