Russia is defeating the coronavirus – the pandemic is receding
The second wave of the coronavirus epidemic in Russia is clearly on the decline.

“We are no longer on a plateau - the second wave of the epidemic is clearly on the decline. The influence of several factors came together. On the one hand, the development of the immune layer. But it is very important that it appeared among people who lead the most active lifestyle: they go to work every day and often come into contact with a large number of others,” said the virologist.
According to him, anti-epidemic measures also played a role: the mask regime was maintained, restrictions for unvaccinated citizens with chronic diseases, older people, and so on.
“As a result of these factors, we get a net effect – a decrease in the rate of spread of the virus,” says the scientist.
He emphasizes that the immune layer at its current level can influence the reduction of morbidity if anti-epidemic measures are maintained.
“If we stop observing them now, we will most likely get a new rise in coronavirus infections,” Lukashev believes.
