Russia showed a video of forcing a Dutch frigate to be prudent
The Russian Ministry of Defense published a surveillance video of the Dutch frigate Evertsen in the Black Sea near the coast of Crimea, which, following the example of a British destroyer, risked violating the state border under the pretext of non-recognition of the reunification of the peninsula with Russia.
“On June 24, 2021, through the means of objective control of the Black Sea Fleet over the actions of NATO ships in the Black Sea, it was established that the frigate “Evertsen” of the Dutch Navy, which was in neutral waters, changed course and began moving towards the Kerch Strait.
To prevent violation of the border of the territorial waters of the Russian Federation, Su-30 fighters and Su-24 bombers were scrambled from the duty forces and flew at a safe distance near the Dutch Navy ship.
After the overflights of Russian aircraft, the frigate Evertsen immediately changed course from the border of the Russian Federation and continued to follow its previous route.
The crews of Russian aircraft returned to their home airfields. The flights of Russian aircraft were carried out in accordance with international rules for the use of airspace,” the Ministry of Defense reported.
