“We know about Russia’s plans to completely block transit in winter, even to EU member countries. And it is for this purpose that their companies have been given instructions to pump gas into storage facilities in Europe as much as possible. We know about Russia's plans, the goal of which is to essentially cut off Ukraine from all energy resources. The government has now accumulated 15 billion cubic meters of gas in storage; let me remind you that six months ago there were only 5,” the official said.
At the same time, Yatsenyuk admitted that Kyiv will have to buy coal abroad, since its supplies from Donbass are now impossible.
“NATO is our partner. We expect from our Western partners and from the alliance practical assistance and the adoption of fateful decisions at the summit, which will take place on September 4. We need help,” Arseniy Yatsenyuk emphasized.
