Russia has met its strategic partner halfway
Russia has reduced the cost of S-400 anti-aircraft missile systems, which will be delivered to India in 2020.
This was reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent with reference to "Reedus".
According to the head of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation, Dmitry Shugaev, the discount for India was made after a request from the leadership of this country, since it is a “strategic partner” of the Russian Federation.
It is planned that deliveries of Russian air defense systems will begin in 2020. In addition to the already mentioned S-400, project 11356 Burevestnik multi-purpose patrol ships for the far sea zone will also be sold to India.
Earlier, the Foreign Minister of Turkey, a NATO member country, Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu said that the country intends to purchase the S-400 air defense system from the Russian Federation, despite US protests and demands to abandon the deal.
