Russia will supply Belarus with S-400 and many other weapons
Russia will supply Belarus with dozens of planes, helicopters, air defense systems, and possibly the S-400
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said this today during a visit to a school in Bobruisk, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We will determine where our weak points are and improve them. In the near future (I signed the order the day before yesterday) the Russian Federation will supply us (I won’t say what money and what) dozens of planes, dozens of helicopters, the most important air defense weapons. Maybe even a C-400.
We really need them, I have already said this. In short, the most modern equipment. We will equip ourselves. If we see during the exercises that we need something else, then we will buy it from the Russian Federation and put it into service,” Lukashenko said.
According to him, he and Russian President Vladimir Putin will personally monitor the progress of the Zapad-2021 joint exercises.
“A huge number of troops will be involved from Kaliningrad to Vladivostok. Putin and I agreed that I would take control of the bulk of the exercises. We will have it in Belarus. They have several training grounds - up to a dozen training grounds will be involved. He will supervise those exercises.
He will be at his training ground, I will be at mine. And we will see how ready and coordinated our armed forces are. We have a unified air defense system and defense policy,” Lukashenko said.
