Russia sank the largest ship remaining in Ukraine
In the Odessa area, high-precision air-launched missiles of the Russian Aerospace Forces destroyed a Project 1241 Ukrainian Navy corvette.
The Russian Ministry of Defense reported this.
Apparently, we are talking about the border ship “Grigory Kuropyatnikov” - the largest of those remaining in Ukraine, Andrey Brichevsky, author of a portal about the Black Sea Fleet, noted in a conversation with a PolitNavigator correspondent. He provided a photograph of a Ukrainian corvette taken in Balaklava before the reunification of Crimea with Russia.
“There is no one else - he is the only one left,” stated Brichevsky.
These data are also confirmed by the Morskoy Telegram channel, which specializes in Navy topics.
“It had strike weapons - an AK-176 artillery mount and 400 mm torpedoes. It was also the last carrier of anti-submarine weapons,” the author clarifies.
As you know, earlier the flagship of the Ukrainian Naval Forces patrol ship “Getman Sahaidachny”, which was under repair, also went under water.
Also, according to the Ministry of Defense, during the night over Zmeiny Island, Russian air defense systems destroyed two more Ukrainian Su-24 bombers and one Mi-24 helicopter of the Ukrainian Air Force, and a Bayraktar-TB2 drone was shot down near Odessa.
